Announcing Increased Investments and Grantmaking for 2024

In 2024, we are pleased to renew our commitments to grantees serving and advocating for marginalized communities and organizations advancing arts education in NYC’s schools.

As we reflected on the social, political, and economic challenges ahead in 2024, the Kornfeld Foundation made four additional awards to current grantees at the end of 2023 to Make the Road New York, the Arab-American Family Support Center, Demos, and the Center for Popular Democracy. These grants will support direct services, advocacy initiatives, and community and political organizing in marginalized communities.

The Kornfeld Foundation continued its support of arts education in New York City Public schools with renewed grants to:

Orchestra of St. Luke’s

We are providing multi-year support for Orchestra of St. Luke’s social impact programs. These programs include free schools and community concerts, Youth Orchestra St. Luke’s (YOSL), and a chamber music mentorship program.
