Christopher C. Angell

Christopher C. Angell brings a depth of expertise in trusts and charitable foundations to his role as President of the Kornfeld Foundation. Mr. Angell was a member of the law firm of Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP from 1977 to 2010, where his practice encompassed estate planning, administration of trusts and estates, planning for charitable giving and philanthropy, and organization and representation of family foundations and other tax-exempt organizations. He serves as a trustee or director of several trusts and charitable foundations established by clients and their families.

Under his leadership, the Kornfeld Foundation initiated and provided funding for the Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins and the National Palliative Care Research Center at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. During his career, Mr. Angell has served as a director of Bessemer Trust Company and its affiliated trust companies, and as a Trustee of Johns Hopkins University. He is also a trustee of the Rx Foundation.
