Katy Clark

Executive Director

Katy Clark joined the Kornfeld Foundation as Executive Director in early 2021. Prior to this role, she was the President of the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York City where she had responsibility for the overall management, programming, and development of the 160-year-old arts center.

Katy began her career as a violinist and educator with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in London and continued her involvement in music and with artists with leadership roles at the American Composers Forum and Orchestra of St. Luke’s (OSL). During her 10-year tenure with OSL, she developed and completed The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, a facility designed to meet the needs of a community of musical organizations in NYC.

Katy is an alumna of the League of American Orchestra’s and National Arts Strategies’ executive leadership programs. She holds degrees from the University of Cambridge in History and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Music. Katy lives and works in Brooklyn and in Wales, her country of origin.
