Emme L. Deland

Board Vice President & Treasurer

Emme Deland is Senior Vice President, Strategy and Strategy Advisor to the Dalio Center for Health Justice, which aims to understand and address the root causes of health inequities with a goal of setting a new standard of health justice. In addition, Emme works on special projects related to cutting-edge technology.

Prior to October 2020, Emme was Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer for NewYork-Presbyterian. She was responsible for developing clinical and corporate strategies for the enterprise, and for identifying, disseminating, and commercializing new innovations. She also served on the board of the NewYork-Presbyterian Health Policy Center. Previously, she worked at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and before joining the health care field was an international banker at Chemical Bank.

Ms. Deland graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Studies and obtained her Master of Business Administration from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. She is Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She is also a director of the Zeitz Foundation, a board member of The American Memorial Hospital in Reims, France, The Orchestra of St. Luke’s, The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, The Park Avenue Armory, and Clear Scientific.
